How is this junk removed? I have turned-off automatic updates and will add an outbound block on the firewall if I can't get it removed.

My understanding, reading the Computer World description of the class-action lawsuite filed against Microsoft regarding WGA, is that you collect information on my system  and access outbound Internet connections without my permission.

I have the KB905474 update already installed. HOW IS IT REMOVED? What is the program name?

    WinUser 1234,

In order to use a WGA-free installation of XP, repartition, reformat, reinstall and activate.  Then, do not install WGA.

In order to participate in the class action lawsuit, call 1-800-SHY-STER.

The update and full release corrects the action for "Outbound Firewall"

    Phil,

Thanks for the reply. However, you didn't address the question. My automatic updates already installed the last WGA "fix". Other than reformating and reinstallation, I don't want Microsoft collecting and reporting every 90days to your server my "valid" WGA. Since there is a class action lawsuit pending, I want to remove WGA--totally, regardless of the version. How is that done? I've already blocked outbound connections from the computer to microsoft.com but I don't know if that will provide the temporary fix.

    Let me know.

Anyone know how to join the lawsuit?
