    Files on a home computer that are compressed by using NTFS compression may not be backed up correctly by Windows Home Server  On a home computer, you can compress some files by using NTFS compression through advanced attributes settings. In some cases, these files may not be backed up correctly by Windows Home Server.

     

    A fix is available to address this issue.  Please read the KB article for more information and the link to the fix for your home computers that have the Windows Home Server Connector software installed.   I

    Many thanks go to CSPea - a forum user - that reported this bug to us and provided the best written bug of 2008 (so far).   The product team quickly reproduced this issue and started working on a fix.

    Just a quick question...

    This update does not appear to be available via WSUS or Microsoft Update Catalog - Does it download automatically  from MU for users using that site directly?

     

    When is it likely to be available via WSUS/MUC?

    That patch is currently only available in the Microsoft Download Center.
