    Hi to all,

Last day i updated my Office Mobile to the version 6.1.

Now when I try to save a Word file that has some bulltes, I receive this error:

Not enough memory to save the
    document. Please delete files or
    insert a storage card.

But I already use a SDCard with 800 free MBs!

    Any ideas?

I use HTC Touch P3450 (italian ROM) with Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro (CE 5.2 Build 17745.0.2.3)

    Thanks.

    Emanuele

Use file Explorer and locate a file called Temp0FOO. If it's there, delete it and try again.

    I haven't found the file.

    Some other idea?

    Thank you.

Do you have Show All Files enabled on file explorer?

Emanuele, just making sure that you are trying to save the file to your SD card ... correct?

    Emanuele,

You're not the only one with this issue. Most of us have not found a solution.

Ok, but a fix will be released from Microsoft? And when?

    Thank you,

What is interesting Stuart is that I can not duplicate the error as much as I try.  Even on the thread you referenced I tried entering the same text on three different devices and I can save.  We need to find the commonality of thse that are having the issue and maybe we can resolve it.

    Emanuele,

    See if this thread helps:

    http://forums.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2601604&SiteID=65

It's about deleting a file called Temp0FOO on the device.  I know you looked for it before but try it again....

I'm using an ASUS A626 PDA running Windows Mobile 6 with a 8GB SD card. As I recall others with the same issue have stated what devices they're using.

As I've stated before Office Mobile 6.1 (as did .NET Compact Framework 3.5) gave an error when I tried to install it to the devices internal memory so I installed it to the SD card instead (there's a Windows folder containing DLL's etc on the card). All other programs I've ever installed have happily loaded into the internal memory. That said they probably haven't tried to write stuff to the Windows folder.

It'd be nice if we knew exactly what caused the error--that is what *exactly* in the source code results in that dialog. Obviously its not a lack of memory despite what the dialog says.

I'm running a JasJar, Palm 750 and a Cingular 8525, all with WM6 and all are using 2gig memory cards.  None have the issue.

Clearly I agree that the issue is not a lack of memory .... and clearly there is an issue for some.  Maybe the folks from Microsoft have a handle on it but certainly we have not heard it yet.

As already I said, I’m using HTC Touch Windows Mobile 6 Pro CE 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3), Italian version.

What problems we can have in common which cause the issue? System Configuration? The programs installed on the device?

     It’s possible?

I was having the same problem with the error message and I updated to 6.1 and it stopped doing it.
    Are you sure it updated?
    Good luck,
    Debbie
