I'm using a Windows 2003 SBS server, and I would like to add an additional DC to existing domain.
The new server is a Windows 2003 server, but there is an error during the installation.
The error message show as follow:
The AD Installation wizard cannot continue beacuse the forest is not prepared for installing Windows Server 2003. Use the Adprep command-line tool to prepare both the forest and the domain.
"The version of the AD schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of AD on this computer"How can I do right now? Can any one help me?
Thanks,
Lawrence

2009年7月3日 1:37Your SBS is not R2 while your new server is a R2 Standard? Then I think you need to prepare the AD as advised. Here is some info:

Remember to backup your AD first! BTW, SBS needs to be the root of the forest holding all the FSMO roles. -
2009年7月3日 6:34Please try to use your Win 2003 R2 Disk 2 to run the Adprep. Thanks
