Your User Profile was not loaded correctly! RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have implemented roaming profiles for both Windows XP and Vista in our AD environment and everything seems to be working fine, the only real issue or annoyance is that when a (mobile/laptop) user logs onto a Vista client off the network they receive the pop up warning Your User Profile was not loaded correctly! though the profile seems to be working fine, in that, if you make any changes offline, then logon again when connected to the network, those changes are updated, so everything looks like it's working fine from a profile point of view.

We've also checked the Event Logs and they are basically saying that the Vista client can not reach the Network Location of the Roaming Profile, which is expected as the user is logging on offline.  But does anyone out there know how or where we can turn this balloon off via registry/GPO perhaps, or have we missed something in our implementation?  The reason we want rid of this is, to prevent users thinking there is an issue with there profile and call the helpdesk.

    Thanks
