OneCare wireless password for IPod Touch RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to use my IPod Touch with my wireless OneCare. In The IPod it says I need a pass word to log in.

On the computer it says that the system is locked.

I have tried all the passwords I can remember and can't get the IPod Touch to log in. I can't remember the pass word when I secured the wireless system or what the password login is or how to unsecure (unlock) the wireless network.

How do I reset the pass word on the secure wireless conncection. It is different the the login password to login to my account OneCare.

And Ideas how to open the One care wireless service with out the password?

  • Open One Care>Change Settings>Firewall>Advanced Settings>Network Connections> highlight your wireless connection, select Details, and you can view your wireless network security key. You can also view the password on your router set up page. See your router documentation or visit the manufacturer website if you don't know how to do this. You can also clear the password by depressing the reset button on your router for about 15 seconds. If you go the reset route your network will no longer be secure but you can manually set up wi-fi security per your router documentation.

  • thanks for the reply.

    I did what you instructed:
Open One Care>Change Settings>Firewall>Advanced Settings>Network Connections> highlight your wireless connection, select Details, Select details did not appear. after I highlight the network connection.

It says clear unconnected, change location in the upper window and restor defaults, OK and cancel in the lower window.

    Where do I find details?

  • Details did not highlight. It is grayed out and will not let me select it.
