Microsoft office (2013) validating and streaming every time i open it

  So every time I open office (excel and word) it has to validate and "stream required features" this takes a ton of time and usually ends up freezing up my software. So far I'm completely unhappy with this program, seems to be a major step backwards from previous versions. I'm pretty close to uninstalling and going back to Apace Openoffice and starting all over. 

  Any help on making this program even close to useable would be appreciated
