  • Question

  • I've seen a few post here for iPAD/Iphone and some andriod phones whereby you can't use the forums. In particular responding to posts.

What is the official status of this and is the issue with forum code or the devices?

If forums, can something be done about this or are there plans to?

    Thanks

  • I didn't use it much but I think it broke (along with a host of other item) with the latest overhaul around the first of February. I have used both my Xoom and Droid Bionic but now the keyboard won't pop up.

  • We are considering a fix for some of these device specific keyboard issues. The basic problem is that the event for invoking the keyboard on some of these devices isn't supported by our editor. So we are considering a short term fix to at least render a txt box without the editor, at least so people can post simple messages. The real fix will have to come from the editor (telerik).

  • Thanks for the info, any dates on the short term fix or real fix?

  • No dates for either yet. Short term will hopefully be 4/5 or the May release after that, if I can convince people that it is important. Long term fix, no eta, as the control itself likely needs to support the devices.

The kb actually suggested implementing a short term fix. http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/editor/support-for-iphone-ipad-browser.aspx
