Remote Control does not work on all clients RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we want to run WWT on a 9 channel projection system and experienced a problem:

I installed WWT on all clients and the master.
When launching WWT via Remote Control only the computers for channel 3 and channel 4 react.
On the other computers WWT does not open (and also not on the master), although the Remote Control icon is visible in the task bar of each computer.
The MAC addresses are entered correctly, but I think they are only used for WakeUp anyway.

    What could be the cause?

Is there a log-file which I can analyze to find the error?

Questions about the slave computer setup:

On the help page for the slave computer setup the "Install the WWTRemoteControl" link does not work.

Under 5. the instructions say: Record the IP address for each slave."
Why? It doesn't look like they are used later on in the instructions. Is there a place where I have to enter these ip addresses?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Make sure to use the latest version of WWTRemote and setup the Cluster ID in both the WWTRemote app and in the config.xml file to be the same number.

Here is the link to the latest WWT Remote. It is compatible to the build in remote control in the Eclipse Alpha builds. This allows you to monitor status and individually control nodes or control them by group.

  • What version of WWT you use. In normal version can't add projectors. Only six is possible. I try to use Powerdome version but where is some problem with connect with nodes. Please tell me what kind of configuration you use to nine projectors. In my planetarium we have eight projectors.
