Default Folders

Question

Hi, is it possible to set the default root folder / drive location on the device to be sync'd with?
Here's my specific scenario: when creating a mesh folder on my PC (i.e setting an existing folder as Mesh, say called Music), then setting it's options to sync with my mobile (Omnia i8000), the default location and folder created by Mesh on the mobile are "My Storage\Live Folders\Music". I would like to set this to my Storage Card.
Alternatively, when setting an existing folder on my mobile as Mesh'd and syncing with my PC, the folder created by Mesh is "Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop\Mesh folder name. I would like to set this to be another drive on the PC.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I've scanned the registry on both mobile and PC but can't find anything obvious. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks, Lee

its been a while since I used it, but I thought the Mesh Mobile client allowed you to specify where you wanted a folder to go? It states a default but you're allowed to change it I think?

Yes, when you set up the live mesh options, you can choose the storage card and this will create a folder on the storage card where the Live Mesh data is stored.

If you have already set up sync and accepted the default offered location, you will need to remove the device from the Mesh or change the sync settings to not sync with the device for the folder you wish to point to another location. Once the folder is no longer a Mesh folder, you can move or delete it from that device. Then when the folder is offered after changing the sync properties for the folder, choose the browse option to point to a different sync end point on the device and "merge" it with the offered folder.
Note that the folder needs to exist on the device to use the browse feature. And this applies to mobile Mesh and Mesh on a PC.

Thanks for the quick reply folks, it's much appreciated. I'm still having probs however.
Whatever I do, seems to point the mobile folder to My Storage\Live Folders\<my folder>.
The flow I tried was:
On mobile:
Add "Storage Card\music" folder as a mesh folder.
One PC:
This "music" folder appears, and allows me to set it's sync location, which I point to the folder I want (F:\Media\music).
When I go back to the mobile however, the folder is set to the My Storage as mentioned above.
Am I doing something stupid here?

Where is \My Storage on the device and where are you seeing this path? In the listing within Mesh? have you used a File Explorer tool to see the actual location? I'm at a disadvantage as my phone no longer supports Live Mesh (upgraded to a HTC Pure earlier this year when my old device died).
