CWA R2 cannot start audio conferencing RRS feed

  • Spørgsmål

  • When I try to join a conference using CWA, I can see the "Conferencing services is calling you" message for half a second or less but the call is not started.
    I've got my mediation server in place and it works (for numbers on our CallManager Express system, and for dialing out).
    Are there other check points I need to make sure are in place for this to work?
    Where can I get logs of what might be going on?

  • Hello,

    I guess you already checked the event logs, so the next step could be a SIP trace.

    In the OCS management tool right click the pool (Enterprise edition) or Server (Standard edition) and start a New Debug Session, select SIP Stack.
    Then run the scenario that does not work. After that you could analyze the log with the snooper tool from the resource kit.
    (or simply open the logs in an editor and search for the word "error")
    This might give you a hint on what the problem might be.

  • Did you add a Static route on the Front-End server so that CWA is able to dial-out?

    Yes I tried, even if in the article you mention they say: "If all of your users are internal users who have been enabled for Enterprise Voice, and if you have configured location profiles for these users then no additional work is needed".

    Any hint? :-)

    Monitoring the SIP Stack on the FrontEnd Server I got this error :

    TL_ERROR(TF_COMPONENT) [0]1AD0.1634::09/25/2009-07:39:33.293.00000001 (SIPStack,CISIPProxy::CreateUri:ISIPProxy.cpp(1412))( 00000000004DFE50 ) Exit - Failed to parse the URI : <sip:OCSTest@mydomain.com;gruu;opaque=app:conf:audio-video:id:7IC6LA3LX1WH5Y027564SRDK3J7QOGT7>;epid=FF92A76C67;tag=b49aac3793. Returned 0xC3E93F25(SIPPROXY_E_INVALID_URI_SCHEME)

    Obviously, all user can start voice calls using Office Communicator from their desktop .

    Not is they are using CWA to join the Audio Conference
    If Communicator is used no configuration is required

  • You mean a Static Route is mandatory for CWA users?

    In the document http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd425176(office.13).aspx they say:

    "If you have deployed the Mediation Server and media gateway required to support calls to the public switched telephone network (PSTN), and enabled Enterprise Voice for Communicator Web Access users, no additional configuration is required to support audio conferencing for Communicator Web Access users."

    And that's my case...

  • Well did you configure the static route?
    And does it work without the static route?

  • You should do tracing again
    Check with the snooper tool from the OCS 2007 R2 resource kit

  • Hi Raffaele;

    Yep, I have the same issue.  I've been testing things out, and have found that in my case, I can Join a Conference if the 2nd party (on OC Client - not CWA) initiates the call.  I get a pop up appear that allows me to redirect the inbound call to a phone number and the system calls that number up, just fine.  But as a CWA user, I just can't initiate the call myself :-(

    Have you found anything else out?

    Regards!

    Victor
