Windows 7 Professional download / upgrade RRS feed

  • Spørgsmål

  • I pre-purchased Windows 7 professional upgrades with licenses a few months ago and have a new Windows Vista notebook that I want to upgrade. I don't have a built-in DVD drive in the laptop and wonder if I can download the MS Windows 7 professional upgrade and use my new unused license key for registration?

    Thanks, Frank

  • Microsoft provides a tool here where you can create a copy of the install media on a 4GB or larger USB memory stick for install on machines without optical drives.

Yes, you can upgrade a Vista computer to 7 with the key you have, download the ISO and the tool posted below to prepare a 4GB or bigger flash drive to install windows. This is assuming you bought the license from MS store, keys purchased on other auction sites are turning up blacklisted because the seller abused their account.
