Cluster Name

    Question

  • When I deployed my cluster I had named the individual server HeadNode1, HeadNode2, HeadNode3 and when it came time to give the cluster a name I set it to HeadNode. should the Name of the cluster I set "HeadNode" be in DNS? should I set an alias (CNAME) of HeadNode and it resolves to one of the 3 <g class="gr_ gr_26 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="26" id="26">headnodes</g>?

Answers

  • You don't need to do so, just give a friendly cluster name for your cluster, the cluster name is used in HPC SOA feature.

If you had deployed several HPC clusters, make sure to give them different cluster name.
