Log Collector

?I have Vail set up properly, but have some issues. However, before I canfile a bug, I need to install the Windows Server Solutions Log Collector onVail. I have it downloaded to my desktop machine, but can't figure out howto get online from WHS Vail Server.I can succeed in logging onto https://computercare7.homeserver.com; however,I cannot seem to get to IE in order to download the Log Collector. Nor can Ifigure out how to install it from my desktop. The problem I'm having is that Vail will no longer back itself up. As youcan see, it was backing up beautifully from September 28 through October 3,then from October 3 through 7, it was unsuccessful. From thereon untiltoday, there have been only incomplete backups. When I try a manual backup,WHS Vail goes through the backup through 100% and then says it's "completingbackup". Shortly thereafter, it tells me the backup is Incomplete. When I view Backup Details, it shows the Operating System backup wasunsuccessful. What is even stranger, is that although WHS Vail will show when Updates areavailable for my desktop machine, it doesn't show any type of alert thatsomething's wrong with WHS Vail system backup!--Nancy WardWindows 8 Beta Ferret

Just copy the install file to a Vail share, login to the server desktop, and install it from there.- Proposed as answer by Ken WarrenModerator Tuesday, October 12, 2010 2:33 AM
