Update keeps getting turned off....and I'm not doing it.

  This started about a week ago. I'm running Windows Vista. When I start up my computer Windows Live One Care tells me that I have a problem and to click the balloon. When I click the balloon I'm informed that my computer is at risk because automatic updates are turned off. I haven't turned it off. Why does this keep happening. Like I said it just started happening about a week ago.
