Exchange 2007 UM and ocs Integration failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a working OCS + Ex2k7 UM solution. we have exchange server in child domain all server roles in single server & ocs in root domain.  (OCS is RTM and fully patched, Ex2k7 is SP1 and fully patched)

Eveything works as expected we are able to call from MOC to pstn and PSTN to MOC ,able to call from pstn and reach exchnage voice mail.
but unable to reach voice mail  of user  from OCS.

    Error:

The Unified Messaging server failed to exchange the required certificates with an IP gateway to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS) for an incoming call. Check that this is a configured TLS peer and that the correct certificates are being used. More information: A TLS failure occurred. The error code was "-2146893052" and the message was "The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted"..

  • Have you replaced the self-signed certificate on Exchange with a certificate trusted by the OCS server(s)?

  • Are their any other applications installed on the Exchange UM server that might already be utilizing port 5061?  What is the key length on the certificate you issued to the Exchange UM server?

  • Hi
You can refer to below link to check if it is caused by that
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954205/
    Other information:
Check the address of the UM IP Gateway (in FQDN) and Subject Name of the
certificate installed at the VoIP gateway, both FQDN must match.

Use Get-UMIPGateway | FL Address to check the address of the UM IP Gateway. Consult
the vendor documentation to validate the FQDN installed at the VoIP gateway.

  • Hi Kutta,
    Per my known, exchange 2007 sp1 is not full supported by the windows 2008 r2, you can refer to below link;
    http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/11/04/453026.aspx

That is, it will support but not yet, right?

About the Microsoft Server Applications Supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 you can refer to below link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/supported-applications.aspx

    Regards!
