WHS Failed (Power Supply went out) - how to restore data? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My WHS that has been running since day 1 that WHS was released finally bit the bullet.  An old Dell GX620 where the power supply died.  I've ordered a new case, motherboard, cpu, etc. from Newegg and am awaiting delivery.  My big question is my data -- it is imperitive that I get my data back.

What procedure should I follow to make sure I get all my stored data back?  I have three drives (system drive, two data drives).

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Robert

  • Follow the steps for a server reinstallation as shown in Ken's post.

Just ensure your system drive is shown first in the BIOS boot order.
