How do the Projects and Resources section work when a user is in two or more categories? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm using Project Server 2010 and I need to define a new group of users, when thinking of the categories where this group has to be assigned a doubt come up and now I'm a little bit confused.

If I have a Group with categories My Organization and My Projects: having My Organization the users of this group will see all current and future projects and all current and future resourcesm, without limits, but having My Projects they will see only the projects when

    (1) The user is the project owner or the user is the Status Manager on assignments within that project

(2)The User is on that project's Project Team

(3)A resource on the projects's Project Team is a descendant of the User via RBS

    and the resources when:

    (1)The user is the resource

(2)They are members of a Project Team on a project owned by the User

and the question is: What will be valid, the rule in My Organization without limitations, or the rule in My Projects with limitations?

    Thank you for your help,

    José Espases
