XP Home won't display path in Address Bar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Actually, i can't even get it to display the Address Bar. When i go to Tools/Folder Options/View and check "Display Full Path In Address Bar", this doesn't make any difference, either. I can select View/Toolbars, then check Address Bar in browser settings, but the Address Bar then only shows up as a greyed-out button in the upper right-hand corner of the browser.

Anybody know what this is all about? With much thanks!

  • Fairly simple to fix.

    Open up any folder.
Go to View/Toolbars again, this time make sure Lock the Toolbar is unchecked.
Using the left-mouse, point at the middle of the Address button that you see in the upper right-hand corner.
Press down and drag it downwards the moment you see the four directional arrows.
Let go and there you are. Both address bar and the Go button at the far right.

    Hope this helps.
