Hi,
you can take all exams required for the MCPD (I think you meant that. I do not know a MCDP certification). But of course: You must have the knowledge to pass the exams. How you get this knowledge is completly on your side. Courses might help of course.
The official documentations can be found at these links:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-vstudio.aspx gives an overview about possible certifications regarding software development.
There are different MCPD certifications and you can find all details about the required exams there. Exams normaly link to an exam page with details. Just as example I link all exams required for the ASP.Net Developer MCPD:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-515&locale=en-us
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-513&locale=en-us
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-516&locale=en-us
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-519&locale=en-us
All these pages give you:
- Skills Measued - so you know what topics you have to know. And it is up to you, how you want to learn them. Maybe you just want to read on msdn and build your own examples to master the topics given ...
- Preparation materials - these tell you, if classroum courses, eLearning resources or MS Press books are available. You also find links to practice test vendors (MeasureUp and SelfTestSoftware)
And of course: People offer trainings. There are MCTs covering these topics. I even saw offers like "MCPD camps" in the past where you book a holidy and then travel to a camp where you meet lots of developers and for a given time you are trained. But
that are 3rd party offers but they normaly all have a site on the internet which can be found through google or bing. So maybe you want to just search a little including your country or a city near you.
With kind regards,
Konrad
