Suggestion: ReAdd the post link RRS feed

  • Question

  • Some time ago we could see the html anchor ( ? ) of a post by hoover over e.g the reply link. Now there is only showing javascrip:void(); it is now impossible to provide a link to a desired post. This wouldn`t be a problem if the thread where you want to link to only contains 3 posts, but in a longer thread it is a problem.

So maybee a feature like copy link of a thread ( similiar to the last reply link ) would be needed.

You can use the links in the RSS feed of the thread for most threads.

in a longer thread it is a problem.

Yes.   For threads which are longer than 40 posts, the RSS feed technique only shows the last 40.

OMG.   That limitation appears to be fixed.   (I just sorted Forums Issues by Replies and picked the longest locked thread.)   So, the RSS feed and then right-click Copy Shortcut appears to be is a solution for all cases.

Thanks for making me find this.

  • Robert,

thank you for your suggestion. I just tried it and it worked. I still would like to get the old "style" back so i don`t need to open another browser window/tab and search for the post i want to get the link for.

Anyway, as i guess this won`t come back i will just use what you have suggested.

    Thanks
