Is it possible to edit the lead source drop down list? I'd like to add a category called 'customer referral'. Thanks for the help.Tuesday, June 16, 2009 6:09 PM

yes - open customizations / customize entities / then open the 'lead' entity and click on the attributes side-tab. find the lead-source attribute open it and add the new value.
Save / close and publish the change.

I'm sorry to be so thick, but I cannot find the lead-source attribute. I get to the customize entities screen but under Lead all they show are Forms, Views, Charts, FieldsI can't get to that list?????
I don't use leads by the way, only contacts. But I want to track referral sources.
Thx

"attribute" = "field" - (they've been renamed to help clarify - but old habits die hard and I'll probably call them attributes for a while.)

Hi,
Came across this blog because I am trying to add a name to the lead source drop down list but am not able to do this. My issue is that I can not find the "customizations" button. The only customizations button I find is for web developers.
Thanks for your help,
Sheila

Hi Sheila,
Are you an administrator of customizer of CRM? If not, you will need to get those privileges before you can do any customizations.
