  • Question

  • Is it possible to edit the lead source drop down list?  I'd like to add a category called 'customer referral'.  Thanks for the help.

  • yes - open customizations / customize entities / then open the 'lead' entity and click on the attributes side-tab. find the lead-source attribute open it and add the new value.

Save / close and publish the change.

I'm sorry to be so thick, but I cannot find the lead-source attribute. I get to the customize entities screen but under Lead all they show are Forms, Views, Charts, Fields

I can't get to that list?????

I don't use leads by the way, only contacts. But I want to track referral sources.

    Thx

  • "attribute" = "field" - (they've been renamed to help clarify - but old habits die hard and I'll probably call them attributes for a while.)

  • Hi,

Came across this blog because I am trying to add a name to the lead source drop down list but am not able to do this. My issue is that I can not find the "customizations" button.  The only customizations button I find is for web developers.

    Thanks for your help,

    Sheila

  • Hi Sheila,

Are you  an administrator of customizer of CRM? If not, you will need to get those privileges before you can do any customizations.
