I got a new laptop a month ago, and now I have lost access to windows. when i log on a black screen comes up with a windows activation box claiming "windows has expired and windows is no longer working. To use windows you must activate this copy of windows".
then it gives 3 options;
-'activate windows online now' (this results in error code 0x8007232B)
-'access your computer with reduced functionality'
-re-type product key' (when i type in the product key on the sticker on the laptop it does not recognise it).
below is a diagnostics:

Hello RyanPaulGraham87
KMS Client versions of Vista are used by Large Companies, Universities or Government Agencies to easily manage large numbers of Windows installs within their organization. A KMS Client version of Vista activates by connecting to the organization’s KMS Server (KMS Clients do not connect to Microsoft to Activate). If your KMS Client is not configured to connect to (and Activate thru) your organization’s KMS Server or if that KMS Server is out of available client licenses, I suggest contacting your organization’s Network Administrator or IT Dept. for assistance.
If you are currently outside your organization’s network (and such, can not connect to the KMS Server) I recommend connecting the computer to the organization’s network or discussing with your Network Administrator or IT Dept. the possibility of using a MAK Volume License Key (that doesn't require you to be within the organization’s network to activate) instead of a KMS.
Additional information regarding KMS (and other Volume License) Activation:

I have a similar problem, but it is NOT a KMS problem.
I have been having trouble with computer since i have had it. From hard drive problems, to the current problem, which is Validation.
I bought a gateway computer in 2007 or so and it had given me nothing but ____ ever since i got it.
i had to send it back twice and now windows is telling me that i don't have a valid version of itself!!
I have had to restore my computer without backup, JUST to be able to get it work!! that's crazy.
That means, every time, i have to lose precious work proofs and created music files from my computer.
you guys have cost me A LOT of money and i am tired of VISTA. I hate windows, i am ONLY DEALING WITH IT, until i can get something better.
I can only get on the internet to validate an ALREADY PROVEN VALID VERSION OF WINDOWS.
There is black screen and no way to get to any of my programs, to back up files of ANY KIND WHATSOEVER.
realizing this, i have to get a response as soon as humanly possible as well. and our internet is off, so we are pulling from our neighbors internet, whicih comes IN and OUT when it wants, so i have no idea what to do, when there was never supposed to be a problem in the first place.
