How te disable harddisk scan by startup server?

  Hello everybody,
  
  Every time i start-up or re-boot my server he starts automaticly to scan the complete 1 TB harddisk for more than 5 til 10 minute. So the performance the first minutes is very low. How can i turn this scan of?
