How to Get Job Activity Log RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Could you tell me where the Job Activity log is recorded?

I do not see any powershell cmdlets which can retrieve this information. I suspect it is recorded in the database or in a log file. I need to be able to read it as an object or text.

    Activity log

Generated to track the progress of a cluster job.

To view the activity log for a job, in Job Management, in the views pane, double-click the job. Then, click the Activity Log tab.

    Regards,

  • it is in the DB. And you could get these data through:

    1. Job GUI as above

    2. Reporting Views (JobHistoryView)

    3. Through CLI tool: job view <jobId> /history

The result for 1 and 3 should be same while 2 is raw data. If this won't help you have to pull the original data in Scheduler Database
