I want my Zune Marketplace/Zune Pass on my WinPhone RRS feed

  • Question

  • In my opinion, pairing the Windows Phone with the Zune Marketplace/Zune Pass and making some sort of Zune application will add sales to both divisions.  Right now, I have a Zune and WinMo6.5 phone.  I can't put ANY of my Zune Pass music on the phone, which is strange b/c they are both Microsoft products.  I think Apple's marketshare can at least partially be attributed to how well all the parts play together.  Further, the Zune UI is great and the Windows Media Player...is...uh....not so much great.

Please, please, please make a Zune application that supports Zune Pass on the Windows Phone.   Did I say please?  OK, don't wanna beg here, but...

  • WMP doesn't transfer the licenses for the rented music to attached devices.  While the sync will appear to be successful one would be unable to play and only receive message about a missing license.

It takes all the running you can do to stay in one place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must try to run at least twice as fast as that.

  • I heard it was kind of possible to play your Zune Pass content on a Windows Phone.  Try this; make sure both the Zune Software and Windows Media Player are monitoring the same folders for their media libraries.  If that's set, Windows Media Player should be able to access and play your Zune Pass music.  Then you can plug in your Windows Phone, click the "Sync" tab in Windows Media Player, and set-up a sync partnership with your phone.

I recommend creating your own playlists (or auto-playlists) to sync to your Windows Phone storage card. Here are some more tips.
