Vista 64 security update killed PSP Photo X2 RRS feed

  • Question

I have posted this in several places. After an automatic update Corel PaintShopPro Photo X2 does not open any more. After a reboot it hangs Vista up and will not start the only way to get into Windows Vista into boot usings the Vista installation disk. and then the PSP program has gone.

No problem with the 32-bit Vista.

I have formatted my hard disk using Windows 98 start up disk, using FDISK etc. Then formatting it again in the windows start up installation.

I have had consistent results in the 5 times I have tried it.

    Any words of wisdom?

  • Hi Jannerhank,

These forums are only for the support of Windows Genuine Advantage Validation issues. I do suggest that you go to the Windows Update Solution Center (http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527 ) and see if this is a known issue. And if not, reporting the issue to the (no cost) Windows Update email, chat or phone based support.

Also, if you can provide the Support Techs with the Version of Corel PaintShopPro as well as narrow it down to a single specific update, that causes the issue, it would go along way to help get the issue visability.

    Thank you,
