    Does anyone know what services Onecare needs running as I have disabled alot of service to optimize system performance. It is not allowing me to start the program and I think that it may be related to that

    I could think of two:


      Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) - for the OneCare firewall service to work

    Background Intelligent Transfer Service(BITS) - for the updates

     

    Hope the others could give you other Windows services needed by OneCare.

     

     

    P.S.  - Microsoft .NET framework 2.0/3.0 - handles the platform/UI.

    OneCare Antispyware and Antivirus

     

    Startup for Onecare
