  At this point, and in this context, we need to focus on the spammers and banning them. So please include links to the profiles and any example links to the threads. I understand that it's easier to include links to entire forums, but that is not as helpful for this purpose.

  As Jundan mentioned, greater efforts are in progress to reduce this problem on a higher level. But for now we're focused on the profiles and the threads. Hopefully the need for this manual service will be reduced as tools are improved.

  2 times Banned user re-appeared with new display name democrate.

  His previous profile names were stuckFree and Veng.

  Despite the initial warning, he started spamming the different forums. Please ban him for one more time, he is nothing but a nuisance to forums wherever he posts.

  This issue has been going on for a long time now, the sports video spammer guy... I wonder if there's a way to really put him to rest? Its obvious he automating the registration process. Maybe its time for a different registration method with the forums/microsoft accounts. At least make the guy have to re-write his bot. Or get the websites he's spamming torn down.

  It has been confirmed in this forum that a spammer can reply in an existing legitimate thread and take it over (no buttons, nothing else visible). No one sees the legitimate question. Moderators cannot delete the spam reply. Is the only solution to have an administrator delete the entire thread? Is the legitimate question then gone?

  In fact, I think we have a case where a legitimate user was banned because their question was spammed and no one could see anything but the spam. See this thread:

  I could delete all his posts, except one.  One of his post is really acting wierd in IE9.  When I try to view the post, it is redirecting to a Blogspot website.  As a moderator, I am unable to see the links to delete this post.  The post link is:

  One more feedback on this Forum website is that - This spam reporting thread is growing very large :-)  As a result, IE9 takes a while to load and also shows "(Not Responding) / Stop running script on this page" message.

  PS: Spams have increased since more than 1 month and I am really worried that MS team is not taking any action. How long you can depend on Moderators to manually delete the entries???

  Freedom_nut - start a separate thread, please. There are several similar threads here in this forum now. Apparently some of the good users got accidentally banned when SPAMMERs invaded their threads. I am just afraid that unbanning and restoring deleted threads may be a complex process (if it's even possible).

  In addition to starting a separate thread try using site's feedback button for this problem.

  this for sure i know. But the reasons above should tell you why i didn`t do this. Maybe "Report As Abuse" would be a very good thing for a user profile.
