Why is this machine that I paid so much money for not being controlled by me? RRS feed

     Tried to submit a job application before the deadline a few minutes ago, guess what!!!!!!!! it was time for the restart to install the "UPDATES", you know, those supposed improvements that automatically "download" and then have to be installed by restarting the computer. Could go on about this, but I am VERY VERY ANGRY right now!!!!!!!!! Will definitely check into an Apple in the future. Why do I never seem to see any improvements in function after these "upgrades"???? Why does the damn thing sneak its way into shutting down after these "upgrades" have downloaded?????? Just what exactly are these "upgrades" ? Could they really be built in fishing? Perhaps information gathering for an unknown recipient? Oh yeah, I am ANGRY! The next computer that I buy will have to be customized so as  to be in my control apparently.

    I would also add that you should scale your attitude and language back when you post on the Answers site. If you post again as-is, you likely won't get any meaningful responses.
