CRM 2011 on-premises - Unable to browse system reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

We recently installed Dynamics CRM 2011 with UR 15 on Windows 2008 R2 server. The SQL Server 2012 S1 and it's reporting services are installed on a separate machine, Windows server 2012 R2 machine.

After importing the test data on default solution, we are unable to run the system reports like "Account Overview". Following is the error message:

Reports cannot be run because the Connector for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, a required component for reporting, is not installed on the server that is running Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.

The following Reporting Extensions are already installed on SQL server machine:

    Rollup 6, rollup 14, and rollup 16.

Please advise how to run the system reports.

    Thanks, Ankit Shah

  • Hi

Are you sure you installed Reporting Extensions Connector and not Reports Authoring Extensions.

Here is a link, which mentions few other checks you need to make.

  • Hi,

Did you check the user for the reporting extension to be a local service?

  • Hi CRMDevlpr,

Yes, I am talking about Reporting Extensions Connector here. We have uninstalled the Reporting Extensions Connector specified above and reinstalled them referring to the new SQL instance. But, at this time it was very weird problem. The all system reports were deleted from reporting service server. I don't know why? Hence, we reverted back everything again. Could you please shed some light what should we do to make the system reports up and running with SQL server 2012?

    Thanks, Ankit Shah
