HTML Code appearing instead of text

Question
-
I have noticed for a while that when viewing a small minority of posts, much of the post is html code rather than text.
I have observed this using FireFox, Chrome, and Edge browsers. Here is a screenshot from this thread.
This was quoted in another person's response and only the text is shown in the quoted part.

The person posted using the Grammarly addon, which adds unsupported HTML. It does not matter what browser or addons the person reading the post is using.
Edit: The post can be fixed (if you are a moderator that can edit other peoples posts) by removing all tags, that is, everything enclosed by the angle braces. But it is a pain.

A guess but we think the users have this browser add-on causing the unrecognized markup.

Yes, the user that is posting causes the malformed post. All users reading see the results.

Did you look at previous posts before posting this? Is this post about the same thing as Garbage HTML in posts? Note that since this is a question you should mark a response as the answer. You have the option of designating posts as "Discussions" instead of "Questions". If a thread is about something for which marking a reply as an answer seems inappropriate then it should be a discussion.
