Why do I need to enter my password just to read documentation in MSDN? RRS feed

  • Question

  • It seems like for some time now, every time I try to read a document on the MSDN website, or even just access the MSDN home page, it asks for my Windows Live password claiming that "I'm accessing sensitive information". I'm not trying to access anything sensitive - I'm just trying to read what I thought were publicly available documents stored at MSDN.

The only thing I can think of that might be sensitive is my personal information as stored in my profile - why not just skip the password verification until I actually try to access my profile (or whatever is actually sensitive). It's really annoying. Is there some way to go into a less secure mode so I can just peruse the documentation without having to enter my password when it's not useful?
