Choosing a Career Track RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like opinion on the current state of IT and what you would choose for a career track. I am A+, Net+, MCSA (2000). I have trying to decide on taking Security+ to get a foundation in security, then taking MCITP-Server Admin track, or Exchange Admin track. Having trouble deciding which order/path to take. Thoughts? Thanks.

  • Hi James,

    My opinion is:

I would not worry to much long term, technology is going to change and you need to adapt with it.  Either path is valid, see which interests you most and try and get pratical experience in them.  Real experience is the most valuable asset so try and get that in your preferred discipline.  The certification backs that up or may get you started.

Hope this helps and Good Luck,

    Ozzy Geoff
