Constant, annoying subscription notification.

Question

Can I turn off that stupid red OneCare subscription notification icon?
I’ve paid for OneCare for a year, the product should be showing a green icon until the subscription expires Sept. 24, 2008 unless something is truly in danger that OneCare detects.
Bill G. not getting my money “early” doesn't qualify as warranting the subscription harassment.
Stay out of my personal business and deliver what I paid you for. I’ll re-subscribe if I feel like it. You're making going back to Mcafee look awfully good right now.
You're harassing me. Stop it please and just let me use my OneCare product.

I agree the renewal notices are a bit intrusive and the icon should not turn red until the subscription has expired but I don't know of a solution.

One Care, like most subscription products, will generate reminders before subscription expiration. You can choose to renew or not renew but if you before expiration the renewal will be added on to the end of your current subscription, it will not be effective immediately.

How do I disable the subscription notification so the OneCare icon turns green again?
Our employees aren't monitoring what OneCare is doing like we've asked them too because you've suddenly set it as a permanent "false alarm".
I'm getting the email subscription notices, that's fine, that's what email is for.
Using cripple-ware tactics on a product purchased in good faith for a pre-determined amount of time (set by Microsoft by the way) is really crappy.
Can we disable subscription notifications that are hidden within OneCare so we go back to green?

I agree with both of you that the change in OneCare status a month before expiration is annoying. However, if you are planning to renew anyway, consider picking up a retail copy at a discount and using the key to extend the subscription. You can renew at any time prior to expiration as long as there are less than 12 months remaining on the subscription.
If you wish to complain "formally" about the reminders - http://feedback.live.com - select Windows Live OneCare from the list.
