Gallery and 1 Star Rating

As you know if you receive a 1 star rating you will lose 5 points. Are these people really evaluating the script? Or just giving 1 star to lose the points?
Here is an example – I received 1 star rating on 7 scripts today from the SAME person - Oliver Lehmann
One of the scripts (List Group Members in Active Directory) was ranked #8 on the top script from 2011 - http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2012/01/02/find-the-top-ten-scripts-submitted-to-the-script-repository.aspx
Is there anything we can do to make sure these guys are “really” evaluating the script?

I also received a few low-ball ratings from the same person on scripts that have thousands of downloads, are on the most-popular page, are featured scripts and are on the same top scripts list from 2011. One thing that the gallery ratings do not allow is an explanation of the rating, similar to what the Visual Studio Gallery does. I think allowing a review is much more helpful than a rating.

A little odd that both of them joined in the last two days, immediately rated almost all of the same scripts as the other with low ratings and have done nothing else since.

The way this side of the recognition system works needs to be changed as it's too easy for disgruntle people (enemies) to adversely affect recognition points. Perhaps 1-star ratings shouldn’t reduce points until at least 2 have been received (this would of course mean that you would have to do the same for 5-star ratings as well)

Looks like an account is being created every day to do this...four days in a row is a little odd, to say the least.

In Forums and Wiki, only your awarded points can be withdrawn (you can have a minimum of 0 points from here).
In Blogs and Gallery, results from your existing ratings can be eliminated with new ratings (and you can have a negative score from here).
I would suggest changing the concept of "rewarding" the ratings of Blogs and Gallery contributions.
A possible solution of point reduction could be that a 1- or 2-star rating would mean 0 points instead of -5 and -2.
(However it doesn't solve that the average rating still might be reduced with trolling down the ratings.)Wednesday, February 29, 2012 9:36 AM -
Thanks Rich. You are right. These people are creating these accounts every day and “just evaluating” the scripts.
