I replaced my motherboard and now XP won't validate, It is an E-Machines (now Acer) T5026, Windows XP Home Edition. I've tried everthing I can think of, that Microsoft has suggested and a couple of forum ideas, all help is appreciated.

You are using a "bios locked" version of XP home (from the Gateway's eMachine computer's motherboard to activate a Acer motherboard and this won't work.You can try to use the COA license (the one on the back of the case) and enter that using the change key utility http://www.mic rosoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/XPPkuinst.aspx?displaylang=en&sGuid=8 5af5bfb-6a5f-4fd5-a5c2-9e18501e50df then use telephone activation (Click Start, Run, type slui 4 and press Enter, select your country.) Phone the number provided and stay on the line, don't speak or press any telephone keys to get to live person. and explain that you had to replace the motherboard.
