Plugin FileIOPermissions Failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Error Code: 2147220970 - "Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed."

    Getting the error message shown above in the final line of this code and I don't understand why? After some Googling it seems to point to plugins not having sufficient priveleges due to being Sandboxed but the plugin isn't in that mode? Any ideas?

    string AddressPath = "FM-SSO" + "_" + accountCode;
    string AddressSavePath = @"\\fm\CRMdata\maesteg\" + AddressPath + ".csv";
    System.IO.File.WriteAllText(AddressSavePath, CSVFile.ToString());

  • I would assume this has something to do with permission to the shared folder, what user is running the plugin?

    Try giving "everyone" full permission on the share and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Everyone has full permissions for both the folder being written to and for the assembly itself but still getting the same error. All the permissions were checked using Right Click > Properties > Security > Everyone.
