CRM 2011 server on test network

  We don't have a test environment for our CRM 2011 server. We're planning to have one but don't know were to start. We have a small network of about 10 vm servers. I plan to have the following:

  1. Create another network with own AD (test.local) and crm 2011 server.

  2. Restore production db on the new test crm server and configure Experlogix Configure software on the server.

  3. Connect the private network to our production sonicwall firewall to get internet access. Same firewall has connection to our production network (prod.local) but using different ip segment.

  Do you see any issues with the setup? 

  Appreciate any input.
