  • I have three Pc's with OneCare, but it is not a network and OneCare keeps saying that the computers are a network and they are NOT.  How do I fix it so that each computer is an individual stand alone instead of a network.

  • Your computers may not be networked but they are on a network. The connection from your computer to your router to the internet is a network. You may not use your local area network to share data among your computers but if you have a modem and a router, you have a network.

  • If your computers connect to the Internet using phone lines and a dial-up modem or are directly connected to a cable/DSL modem, select Public as the network type.

If your computers connect to the Internet through a shared connection device (under your control) - a router that connects to a DSL/Cable modem, select "Home or Work" as the network type.
