Hi All
We have a working LCS2005 enviroment. Hostname: 1.sweden.vikings.com
I have now installed OCS2007 R2 in the same AD forrest but with hostname 1.norway.vikings.com (not the same FQDN as the current LCS)
Moved a test account to the new server, no problem. When im trying to logon it takes 10 sec as usuall in our current infrastrucutre..
But then i get an issue. The test account are logged in as "status unknown" and all contacts are "status unknown"
What should i do ? Im appriciating all the help i can get...
Kind Regards

Hi
There may be many issues when you deployment LCS and OCS2007R2 coexistence. So before you deployment the OCS2007R2, you can refer to below links:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd572395(office.13).aspx
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd572990(office.13).aspx
Do you means that OCS2007R2 use other site DC, not the DC in the same site?
I think it rely on the Global Setting of the OCS2007R2, and i am not sure whether can configure the appinted LADP server for the OCS Server. Per my opinion, if the Glabal Setting of the OCS2007R2 and the Gloabl Setting of the LCS has some conflict, it will may cause some issues when those were replicated. You can get more information refer to below link:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd572392(office.13).aspx
So, may be you can check those firstly.
Hope this helpful.
Regards!

There are a few things to check, there are some required updates for LCS- OCS 2007 R2 integration:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911996/
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/921543/6
Also, has the SIP URI of any of the users changed, or are they all the same despite being in seperate child domains?

Hi Randy
Thanks for the reply
Actually i need to take a step back now. Network team closed down the firewall so now i have problem access Active Directory.
There are Domain Controllers with necessery functions in my AD site but i dont know why LDAP want to go to one DC that are on the other side of the firewall ?
Can I somehow specify which LDAP server the OCS server should use ?
All the necessery ports are available, no port restrictions at all between the OCS and the DC is should be using. But it tries anyway to go through the firewall and connect to another LDAP server.
We have already another OCS 2007 R2 installation with a VOIP Pilot on and thats working with LCS 2005 ... so i dont think i need to patch LCS 2005 with the patches you attached.
Im totally stuck and i think i need to resolve the LDAP issue before "Status unknown" now because the OCS FE service wont start...
Any ideas ?Wednesday, July 22, 2009 1:42 PM -
