Bonus pack authorization failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just bought a computer from Cyberpowerpc.com.  I thought my purchase of the pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium was eligible for the bonus pack.  It failed authorization.  The number was not on the eligibility list and I don't know why.  I also emailed cyberpowerpc.com about this.   See MGA tool results below.  Thanks.

  • Hi Grant,

According to the diagnostic information, the version of Windows you were sold is the Retail version, not the system builder version:

    Windows License Type: Retail

The retail version is not eligible for this promotion.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Thank you,

    Jenifer

  • Cyberpowerpc wrote me back and states that they did not sell me a retail version and that the software ID numbers/versions should be checked. Please see email copy below. Thanks, Grant Seeger

It is impossible for us to issue a retail version.  You might want to check with Microsoft on this.
