Unable to add UWP controls to Visual Studio 2017 toolbox RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I'm using third party UWP controls for my UWP projects. When I create a new tab in Visual Studio 2017 toolbox and add those third party controls, I got an error "There are no components in xxx.dll that can be placed on the toolbox".

Note: xxx needs to be replaced by the name of the third party control.

    I'm using Visual Studio 2017 Community (15.5.6).

Can anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this?

    Regards,

    Manivannan S.

  • Hi,
Please consult the 3rd party about product made by the 3rd party.

  • Hi Manivannan S,

I agree with Ashidacchi's suggestion, if general custom controls work well, but just the specific third party dll has this issue, you'd better to discuss with the third party.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
