I just purchased an ASUS Eee 1000HE netbook. This device does not come with a CD drive. To load software I copy the files to a flash drive and use it as the software source. I am runnning XP.
So I just installed a copy of Visio and it installed fine and it works as a registered copy should. Now I'm getting messages from OneCare telling me that I need to download a service pack for Visio. When I start the download everything works fine until I am requested for the original disk to validate that I am using a licensed copy. I copy the original disk back to the flash card and when the update asks me for the source disk I point it to the flash drive. Unfortunately the installation of the service pack fails.
Any ideas on what I need to do to make this work?
Thanks Sam

Hello Sam, since this is an update issue and not a One care issue I would try to get help with this at the Microsoft Update Solution Center - http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527#tab0Jim
