  • Hi, kkr JB.

There are three basic MTA categories. They are IT Infrastructure, Database, and Developer. Here they are:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mta-certification.aspx

When you decide which category you want to follow, you can click the associated blue box to see the list of related exams.

Each exam has a details web page. For instance, here is the page for exam 98-361:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-98-361.aspx

Underneath Skills measured sections, you will find links for training resources, including related MSDN web pages.

As well, you may find free training at Microsoft Virtual Academy here:
    http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com/training-courses/software-development-fundamentals

Finally, know that you can even purchased practice MTA exams from MeasureUp, like this one:
    http://www.measureup.com/MTA-98-361-CS-Software-Developer-Fundamentals-C-P1966.aspx

The cost of the exam will depend on what country you live in. You can take the exam at a Certiport test center. MTA exams are cheaper than regular Microsoft Professional exams. Be sure to check out the Q&As on the web page from my first link. You might also be able to take it at school.

You can take the exam as many times as necessary to pass the exam. No refunds for failed exams.

    Good luck!

    Best wishes, Davin Mickelson

  • Hi, ohoel.

Actually, it appears that the entire Microsoft Learning site is down for older IE versions - temporarily!

For example, as I am writing this today (06/01/2014), using IE 9, I cannot even navigate to:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/

Try using a newer version of IE or Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

  • It seems the whole site is down for everyone. I have been searching for information and what I am looking for appears to be on the learning site. Every link seems to be broken. It is June 14. Seems strange, there is no information regarding MS shutting down this site...:-(
