Windows cd key changing RRS feed

    1. Start, All programs, accessories then scroll down to command prompt.
    2. Right click " run as administrator Click yes when the pop up shows.
    3. In the CMD window, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk <type your product key here>
    4. To activate windows after changing the key in the same window type: slmgr.vbs -ato
    5. This should help the total un pc types out there, that need to change their cd key..

  • It will do nothing but confuse people, as the /ato switch primarily applies to KMS activation. - and for many in these forums the command will not work anyhow as there are other problems.
