What is the a result of being voted 'abusive'? RRS feed

  • Question

  • A question of interest for me is: What is the effect of being voted 'abusive'?

    I can't see any difference.

Will there be flags for the Moderators?
Some way that we will be notified that there is an issue to investigate?

How will this be indicated -without at the same time, being abusive itself?
For example, someone being 'falsely' accused of being abusive...

There is not. We did talk about this and had some ideas like auto disable the message if a certain threshold was met (like 10 users marked it as abusive) which would surface to moderators to act on it but we didn't end up going this route with this release. Perhaps in a future release.

  • A post that is voted as abusive will show up in moderator only queries. They will then have the option to take whichever course seems appropriate. This can include something as minor as changing the text of the offensive post, deleting the post or asking a system moderator to ban the user from the system.

  • Does the moderator have the option to "clear" the abusive tag?
