How to export images at scale above 100%? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've made many panoramas where I've zoomed in on parts of the image to get more detail - like, for example, an important building in the distance.

So when I export my panorama, it needs to be at 100% of the SMALLEST image, so that I don't lose the detail of the zoomed image. However, ICE does the opposite - it saves it as 100% of the LARGEST image, and shrinks down my zoomed in images, making it pointless to even use them.

It wouldn't be a problem if I could enter a figure over 100% in the 'scale' setting - but I can't.

Please - does anyone know if there is some way around this?

  • You need to provide ICE with images that have a constant pixel size.  If you've zoomed some images then you'll need to resize the unzoomed images to have the same pixel size as the zoomed images (that is, if you used 2x zoom for some images, upsample the 1x images by a factor of 2).

  • Thank you saratoga! That was really helpful, though obviously this is just a crude workaround, this problem still needs fixing in the software.
