Reopening a activity (appointment, task, etc.) by modifying the status RRS feed

  • Hello everybody,

    I've read on this forum that it was possible to reopen, say an appointment, by creating a workflow rule that would modify the status of the appointment.

    I've tried to add a simple step "change status", and set it to "available" but it did not work. I don't see any enable or disable status...

    What is the status to set? Do you think it's possible to do it this way?

    I've read here and there that to reopen a activity, one must create a button via ISV.config and a JS that do the job...

    Any idea?

  • you can do this using on demand workflow..see below steps..

    1. create on demand workflow against Task (for e.g. task)

    2. add step calling step -> add change status and change status to Open

    3. publish the workflow

    4.  select closed task and run this workflow..it should open the task..

  • Hey, you're right, IT WORKS.

    I know what happened (because I had already tried this solution, unsuccessfuly).

    For sure I was not waiting until the System Task was executed. I would refresh my Appointment/Task right away and it was not reopened yet!
