My Sound both output and input

  When you checked my sound, you responded that it needed to br frfaut. You shoed me the are, I maked it default

  Then you checked it and you responded again it needed to be default. That makes no sence since default was marked! Please explain. I am running  Windows XP Serice pack 3. I am in the support program for Microsoft.

  Please let me kjnow, why when I give YOU permission to fix it for me, would you then want  me to mark the sound area? as defaullt? Then you give me the message that it needs to be on default (*which I had done) and you log out.
